Xcel Energy’s shareholders will meet in Amarillo next week for the first time since 2012, christening the company’s new regional headquarters at 790 S. Buchanan St.
The Minneapolis-based company will hold meetings with customers, local officals and employees, and cut the ribbon at the new Texas/New Mexico control center.
Xcel provides electricity to more than 380,000 customers in 94 communities in Texas and New Mexico, according to a media release. The company employs approximately 1,700 people in both states and 300 in Amarillo.
A live webcast of the meeting will be available on Xcel’s website.
